DAY 01

AIRPORT / DAMBULLA

Welcome assistance by your chauffeur who will accompany you. Proceed to visit Dambulla which is a large town, situated in the Matale District, Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is the centre of vegetable distribution in the country. Major attractions of the area include the largest and best preserved cave temple complex. There are over 80 caves in the surrounding and some of them have been used by the monks as meditation locations. DAY 02

DAMBULLA / ANURADHAPURA / MIHINTALE / DAMBULLA

Proceed to Visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is the First Capital of Sri Lanka for over 1400 years since 3rd Century B.C. The highlights of the tour would be the visits to eight most venerated places including Sri Maha Bodhi, which is oldest authenticated tree in the world (2200 years). It is believed that from the fourth century BCE until the beginning of the 11th century CE Anuradhapura was the capital of the Sinhalese. During this period it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 03

DAMBULLA / SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA

After Breakfast, proceed to visit Rock Fortress – Sigiriya. It is a massive rock in the green scrub jungle, is perhaps the most memorable place for visitors to Sri Lanka. The site was known from ancient times as a hermitage for Buddhist monks. Today Sigiriya is famous for its frescoes painted in the pocket of the rock. The “Lion stairway”, the “mirror wall” and the “water gardens” are its other highlights. Referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World Sigiriya Rock Fortress has significant archaeological importance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 04

DAMBULLA / POLONNARUWA / MINNERIYA / DAMBULLA

After breakfast, leave to Polonnaruwa. The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage Site. Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic cities in the country. If you are interested, you can visit the Polonnaruwa site by bicycle. After lunch en route enjoy with Minneriya National park or Medirigiriya or enjoy with Elephant ride at Habarana. In these parks, large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. Overnight stay at Dambulla or Sigiriya.

DAY 05

DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY

Visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. There are over 80 caves in the surrounding and some of them have been used by the monks as meditation locations. The temple is a perfect location to view evolution of the ancient Sri Lankan arts. Proceed to Kandy. En-route stop at Matale to visit a Spice Garden. Afternoon, visit Kandy temple of Tooth Relic, one of the most venerated places by Buddhist in Sri Lanka, and all over the world. Evening, you can enjoy a cultural show in Kandy. Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 06

KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA

After the Breakfast visit Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya which is the largest Botanical garden in Sri Lanka. Then proceed to visit Nuwara Eliya. The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. En route enjoy Ramboda Falls and travel through the tea plantations to Nuwara Eliya. Your chauffeur guide will meet you at the Nanu Oya station. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 07

NUWARA ELIYA / KALUTARA

After breakfast, leave to Kalutara. Kalutara is a major city in Kalutara District, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is also the administrative capital of Kalutara District. The area is well known to produce the Mangosteens, a fruit introduced from Malaysia in 19th century. En route leave to Kitulgala lush green destination with wonderful scope for white water rafting in the Kelani River with encounters of grade 2 and 3 rapids. Every rapid gives you great fun and epic excitement. Spend your time leisurely by the beach. Check in to the hotel for overnight stay.
