DAY 01

Anuradhapura

Greeting at the airport and leave to Anuradhapura. Proceed to Visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is the First Capital of Sri Lanka for over 1400 years since 3rd Century B.C. The highlights of the tour would be the visits to eight most venerated places including Sri Maha Bodhi, which is oldest authenticated tree in the world (2200 years). It is believed that from the fourth century BCE until the beginning of the 11th century CE Anuradhapura was the capital of the Sinhalese. During this period it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02/03

Trincomalee

After breakfast, leave to Trincomalee. Trincomalee, one of the finest natural deep-water harbours in the world is located 257 km north-east of Colombo, which is considered as the commercial hub of Sri Lanka. En route visit Mihintale. Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Pigeon Island and Koneshvaram Hindu temple. Relax on the beach. Overnight stay at Trincomalee.

DAY 04/05

Dambulla or Sigiriya

After breakfast, leave to Dambulla or Sigiriya. The famous attraction area in Dambulla include the largest and best preserved cave temple complex of Sri Lanka. Referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World Sigiriya Rock Fortress has significant archaeological importance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. Second Day Take the breakfast from hotel and visit Polonnaruwa Ancient City. After the Lunch Safari at Minneriya National Park or Kaudulla. Large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. Back to Sigiriya or Dambulla.

DAY 06

Kandy

After breakfast, leave to Kandy which is a major city in Sri Lanka located in the Central Province. It was the last capital of the kings' era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Visit the Temple of tooth relic of Lord Buddha, one of the most venerated places by Buddhist in Sri Lanka,and all over the world. The Dalada Maligawa as it is also known enshrines the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Gautama Buddha. Then visit the Peradeniya Botanical garden which is the largest Botanical garden in Sri Lanka. You will be provided free Lunch on this day. Back to your hotel or Airport.
