DAY 01

Negombo

Arrival the airport. Head to the Negombo which is a major city in Sri Lanka located to the west coast of the Island. It is famous for its sandy beaches and its history woven around fishing industry. Negombo has a large bilingual population of Roman Catholics. In the medieval period Negombo Port was the center of trade and was very famous for its cinnamon cultivation. Visit fishing village and fish market and later relax on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02

Anuradhapura

Proceed to Visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is the First Capital of Sri Lanka for over 1400 years since 3rd Century B.C. The highlights of the tour would be the visits to eight most venerated places including Sri Maha Bodhi, which is oldest authenticated tree in the world (2200 years) under which the Buddha himself found enlightenment. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 03/04

Trincomalee

After breakfast, leave to Trincomalee. En route visit Mihintale. Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Relax on the beach. Overnight stay at Trincomalee. On Day 04, After breakfast, leave to the Pigeon Island and Koneshvaram Hindu temple. Relax on the beach. Overnight stay at Trincomalee.

DAY 05/06

Habarana or Polonnaruwa

Visit Polonnaruwa ancient ruins, the medieval city with grand stone sculpture and shows the influence of the South Indian Hindu culture on the Sinhala Buddhist art and architecture At leisure at Habarana evening enjoy with Minneriya or Kaudulla national park safari. Polonnaruwa was an ancient kingdom in Sri Lanka. Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King King Vijayabahu I. The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage Site. Lovely jungle surroundings. Overnight stay at Habarana or Polonnaruwa.

DAY 06

Sigiriya

Visit Sigiriya and climb Sigiriya Lion Rock. Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure, the Lion Rock.

DAY 07/08

Kandy

After breakfast, leave to Kandy. Visit the Spice garden and Kandy City Tour. In the evening, witness a cultural Kandy dance performance. Overnight stay at Kandy. You will be provided free Lunch on this day. On day 08, Visit the Temple of tooth relic of Lord Buddha, one of the most venerated places by Buddhist in Sri Lanka,and all over the world. The Dalada Maligawa as it is also known enshrines the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Gautama Buddha. Then visit the Peradeniya Botanical garden which is the largest Botanical garden in Sri Lanka.. Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 09

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, head to the city in the hills Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a city in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Its name means "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. En route visit Tea plantation and Factory, waterfalls very beautiful surrounding, city tour. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 10

Ella

Welcome assistance by your chauffeur who will accompany you. Proceed to Dambulla. Check in to the hotel. Afternoon, you can visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, also known as the “Golden Temple of Dambulla”. It’s World heritage in Sri Lanka. There are over 80 caves in the surrounding and some of them have been used by the monks as meditation locations. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain the statues and the paintings. Since it’s founding in the 1 century BC by King Valagamba, many improvements and additions have been carried out to the sculptures and paintings over the years. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 11

Tissamaharama

After breakfast, leave to Tissamaharama. Tissamaharama is one of the most pleasant towns in the southern coast. The beautiful man-made tank (reservoir) in Tissa, Tissa Wewa with its remarkable bird life provides the scenic backdrop to the town. En route visit to the Rawana waterfall, Buduruwagala temple. After lunch visit to the Yala national park. Yala hosts a variety of ecosystems ranging from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands. It is one of the 70 Important Bird Areas (IBAs) in Sri Lanka. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds. Overnight stay at Tissa.

DAY 12

Airport

On day 12, proceed back to the Airport for Departure.
